Michael A. Fisher, 33, of Dixfield, ME, formerly of South Windsor, CT, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in Dixfield. Born October 23, 1979 in Hartford, CT, he was a beloved son to Clifford Jr. and Margaret (Duquette) Fisher. He graduated from South Windsor High School in 1998, and attended Manchester Community College. Mike was an avid outdoorsman which included hunting, fishing and camping with his Maine family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, both in CT and ME, and especially sharing moments with his niece and nephews. Michael enjoyed music and movies, and spent endless hours building, driving and flying his remote control cars and planes. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé Jenni Hutchinson of Dixfield, ME; brothers James and his wife, Elizabeth of Andover, CT; Daniel and his wife, Elissa of South Windsor; Steven of East Windsor; and John of South Windsor; niece Emma; and nephews Timothy, Darren and Brayden. He also leaves his aunts and uncles Dr. Michael and JoAnn Dybka and John and Joyce Duquette; several cousins, numerous other loving relatives and friends, both in Maine and Connecticut; and his feline companions Nimbly and Azlin. Calling hours for Michael will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 5-8pm at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor, CT. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16th beginning at 9am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10am, from St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Interment will follow in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
