John L. Williams, Sr., 81, of 130 Macktown, Windsor, CT departed this life on Friday, October 1, 2010. John L. Williams, Sr. was born in Montgomery, AL and served in the United States Army where he was active in the Korean War. John L. Williams moved his family to Hartford, CT in 1962. John L. was a member of McKinney-King Post 142 for 43 years. He was a faithful member. He worked for Veeder-Root in Hartford and St. Timothy in West Hartford for many, many years. John L. Williams Sr. leaves to mourn his wife, Lela Nell Tillman-Williams,daughter, Elizabeth Ann Williams-Taylor (husband Charles Taylor), Hartford, CT, sons; Robert L. Williams, Hartford, CT, John L. Williams, Jr., (Joyce) Montgomery, AL, Anthony J. Williams (Lynn), Marzette L. Williams (Simone), Christopher B. Williams (Veronica) of East Hartford, 16 grandchildren; Laytricia Allen, Shameka (Rohan), Charlene (Eze), Felecia, Chaz, Charles lll, Tameka, Robert Jr., Jessie, Jamias, Valencia, Vatrece, Victoria, Tyler, Shakeem, Oval and 13 great-grandchildren, cousins; Frances Skeete (favorite), Agnes Dillon, Debra Dillon, Harriette Buckhalter, Marjorie Terry, Cameron Tappin, Deirdre Tappin and a host of friends.
