Jennie Balesano, beloved wife of the late Peter F. Balesano, passed away peacefully Monday (June 4, 2012) at the age of 89. She was born in Hartford on January 19, 1923, daughter of the late Sebastian Gilberto and Agnes Della Rocco. Jennie was a graduate of Hartford High School and retired from G Fox Department Store after many years working in hosiery sales. She leaves two sons, Peter M. Balesano and his wife Katherine of Auburn, MA and Ronald Balesano and his wife Karoline of Windsor; four grandchildren, Peter, Cathryn, Robert, and Valerie; five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Lisa, John Peter, Jessica, and Katherine and three nieces and their families. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Ronald S. Balesano and sister Florence Tufo. Funeral services will begin 9 a.m. Friday from Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor, a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Windsor with burial following at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
